$600 cash, only needed a key. Really felt bad for the owner, he is moving, back go the south and is very sick; just came out of a coma, told me he didn't have much longer to live. Kinda hit hard.

At least he knows it's going to a good home.

Well at least his car will be in good hands.

if it were me, I would make it a point to keep in contact with him and send him updates on how the car is doing. Those cars live forever and should be treated well. Ghosts from a byegone era of unspeakable attention to detail and peerless engineering. We wont see another like that generation of Mercedes-Benz, for a long time.

$600 in cash, sob story, no key, moving out of state. Seems legit.

That's what I'm doing; I stayed with him, and took him to the fuel station, he looked very pale and cold, and I just felt bad for him

we are what we drive. His memory will live on beyond his life.

He looked quite sick. And pale

Amen to that. The only reason I got rid of mine was because it was totaled—saving my life in the process. Great little cars.

I know of several parking lots full of 600 dollar cars that only need keys. Just pick your favorite and hand me 600 bucks.

Right now, I only need assistance with getting a new key cut for it. The locksmith never came.

You did get a title or whatever paperwork you need right?

Yes. I have the title. That's all I need right? I'm only 23 do this vicar buying thing is still new to me.

As long as you got the title signed and notarized, you're in good shape. Make sure when you call the locksmith you tell them that you have the title in your hand. You may need to get it transferred into your name before they will do it. Liability varies by state.

I bought a Suzuki GS250 in a similar sob story. Guy restored it for his wife that ended up being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Horrible story if it's true, but at least the bike ended up being ridden for months by me and helping two of my friends learn to ride.
